We’re the Smiths — a family-run business passionate about creating comfortable, welcoming places to stay. SmithStayz began in 2022 with just one apartment in Blackpool and a simple idea: to offer clean, stylish accommodation that feels like a home from home.
Since then, we’ve grown steadily thanks to our commitment to comfort, quality, and personal touches. In 2024, we opened our Epping apartment, and in 2025 we’re excited to welcome guests to a brand-new guest house in Blackpool and a two-bedroom apartment in the heart of Poulton-le-Fylde.
Our goal is to continue expanding while staying true to our values — offering flexible, cosy spaces where guests can relax, unwind, and feel right at home, whether they’re travelling for work, a weekend break, or visiting family.

How we started
SmithStayz was founded with a passion for hospitality that runs deep in our family roots. Our director, Tony Smith, grew up working in his grandad’s hotel, where he learned the true meaning of welcoming guests with warmth, care, and attention to detail. From an early age, Tony saw firsthand the effort that went into creating a memorable stay – and more importantly, how it felt to give people a place they could truly relax and enjoy.
That early experience sparked a lifelong love for hospitality and laid the foundation for SmithStayz – a family-run business built on values of care, comfort, and quality. Today, the business is run by Tony, his wife Julie, and now their daughters Rosie and Polly. Rosie has taken on SmithStayz full time, bringing fresh ideas and dedication to the day-to-day operations, while Polly lends a helping hand when she can.
Together, the family brings a personal touch to every property and guest experience, ensuring the warm, thoughtful service that has always been at the heart of what we do.
What started as a single property has grown into a collection of carefully curated stays across Blackpool, Poulton-le-Fylde, and Epping, Essex. Each location reflects our commitment to providing a home away from home, whether you're visiting for work, rest, or play.

Our team

Leading the way is Rosie, who now manages the day-to-day running of SmithStayz. With a hands-on approach and a keen eye for detail, Rosie is involved in every aspect of the business – from guest communications and bookings to overseeing the styling and upkeep of each property. Her dedication ensures that every stay meets our high standards and that each guest feels right at home.
Behind the scenes are Tony and Julie, the husband-and-wife team who laid the foundations for SmithStayz. With Tony’s background in hospitality and Julie’s support and organisation, they’ve helped shape the family values that continue to guide the business.
Also part of the team is Polly, Rosie’s sister, who steps in to help out when needed – whether that’s with changeovers, guest support, or adding creative touches to our properties.
